Three firm Facebook Cover Images good

Death, taxes and Facebook outline changes are immutable the whole story of life.   The just starting out Facebook Timeline is currently the standard outline in lieu of Facebook brand pages.  Perhaps the the largest part worthy graphic design aspect of the outline adjustment is the “Cover”.    That’s the full-width graphic along the top of the otherwise deserted bleep outline.  Here are specifically three of our favorite examples of how to consumption this interim to extensive effect.

At the top of this station you’ll get back a slideshow with corpulent screenshots examples of the REALLY good Facebook cover images we’ll discuss underneath.

1. Smirnoff

Many creative designers state tried to show with the positioning of the logo area on top of the cover image, but Smirnoff U.S. Shows us exactly how it’s ended.  The Brand nepotism the ambiance of the sexy and babies, but the unexpected 3D effect of a pass accomplishment old hat on the missing to grab the logo/product hero shot add a quirky twist to their otherwise standard messaging.

2. Converse

Photo collection is a tried and sincere cover photo attitude.  It’s an painless way to mix all facets of your brand ina solid and broadly appealing way.  Converse, using a little handy color photo filters and a tad of Gamma correction, fail this old graphic care an attention-grabbing retro vibe–exactly on-Brand in lieu of someone like Converse.

3. Sharpie

The omnipresent eternal marker is the largest part normally associated in an company context, but this hatchet design impresses.  Intricate point and a little red accent blends well with the logo and the quirkiness and individuality of the coffee cup doodles adds benefit while still screening rancid could you repeat that? A Sharpie can complete.  This lone is perhaps my favorite.

  1. I'm on the fence about this, while more customization is good, I have a feeling this is a "in-progress" update, it just feels incomplete and half-way there.
We use badge layout for apps on design approvals (visual projects), so the image being displayed is important. Old layout "feels like" it had larger images,
maybe because the images were cropped more loosely so it's easier to tell which project it was at quick glance. Now the image is cropped closer, making it
harder to scan thru at quick glance. I find myself needing to click into the project more often than usual. Which makes the whole user experience less
    efficient.
I have a couple suggestions that might make it work better:
    1. Increase the height of the window the cover image is being displayed.
    2. Let us to choose which image to be displayed as "cover" (like how Pinterest handles cover images of each board, was hoping for this for a long time)
    3. Let us adjust which part of the image to show and how tight or loose the crop is (with a fixed window, let us move the image around and maybe enlarge or
shrink it to control what shows thru the window. Pinterest does a limited form of this, which is very useful in making the cover image relevant)
    4. Allow Cover Image to be ordered in different hierarchy (currently every element can be ordered differently except the Cover Image, it seems to be stuck
in the 2nd spot, would like the option to set it on another spot in the layout. This one seems like an easy fix, since you guys allow that for every other
    element already)
